SCHEDULE: Full Time (1.0, 40 hours/Week) SHIFT:Mixed (Rotating Weekends) Internal Posting Period: 10/11/17 to 10/17/17 Under general supervision and according to radiologist's directions and established procedures, the Magnetic Resonance Imaging technologist operates the MRI scanners to obtain images for use by the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Positions patients for procedures, administers contrast media, operates scanner, produces diagnostic images and performs post-processing of such images as required. The MRI Technologist is directly responsible to the Department Director, Clinical Coordinator, or delegate. Degree of supervision required: Minimal, individual proceeds on his/her own initiative, in compliance with policies, practices and procedures prescribed by professional practice and approved by the hospital's Operations Division. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required: Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider Course. Venipuncture Certification preferred within one year. Minimum Experience: Knowledge of diagnostic principles and procedures as well as operation of MRI equipment as acquired through satisfactory completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program. A minimum of 6 months on-the-job experience performing diagnostic radiology procedures. Ability to learn and utilize computerized patient care management system. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Must effectively read, write and verbally communicate in the English language.
