Cy-Fair Hospital works to meet the community's needs with four emergency rooms at the hospital and three offsite, as well as two urgent care facilities offering night and weekend hours. Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center is currently looking for a RN - Radiology . Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department has a dynamic and varied role. The major goal of the Radiology Nurse is to provide quality nursing care to the patient in the Imaging Department, ensuring patient privacy and dignity. Skills utilized in his/her job performance include patient assessment, communication, patient teaching, organization, independent motivation, and autonomy. The nurse will primarily function as an Radiology recovery nurse for special procedures, the role will also assist the primary IR nurses in the organization of the scheduling outpatient procedures, accumulating all information required to complete procedure, and the documentation required to maintain standards. The nurse will also be cross trained to function in a nursing capacity in general diagnostic imaging, special imaging procedures, nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, radiology oncology, Interventional procedures under; ultrasound guidance, Computerized tomography guidance, and Fluoroscopy guidance. The nurse will also train to assist the radiology oncology nurse during low census. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination and care delivery to the assigned patients in order to provide high quality patient care and services. Patient ages range from neonate to geriatric. The Registered Nurse functions as an extension of the charge nurse and the unit supervisor to ensure a professional level of care is maintained. The Registered Nurse has a primary function in the development of a plan of care for the patients and the provision of educational needs for patients, families, and significant others. The Registered Nurse maintains a high level of competency in the provision of nursing care for patients served.
