Standard Qualifications: Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center has 133-beds and all rooms are private and provide a wide range of in- and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, cardiac catheterization and psychiatric care. Located on a 75-acre campus south of Fredericksburg on Interstate 95, the hospital recently won state approval to build a cancer treatment center, which will be built next to the Pogonia Medical Arts Building, an 80,000-square-foot medical office building attached to the hospital. Job Purpose: The Director Cardiac Services and Interventional Radiology (Cath Lab) is responsible for the leadership, successful operations, and quality of Cardiac Services and Interventional Radiology. The Director Cardiac Services and Interventional Radiology (Cath Lab) provides leadership for the multi-disciplinary committee involved in the over site of the care of the ACS patient. This position assists in the planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations to promote excellence in cardiac patient care. Job Summary : Facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Cardiac Departments to include Interventional Radiology for optimal care of patients. Assists with the development of strategic plans for the growth of Cardiology and IR Services. Works closely with the Emergency Room and with EMS to assure optimal continuity of care from pre-hospital to hospital for cardiac patients. Assists in education of clinical staff and EMS to assure evidence based care in the treatment of ACS and AMI patients. Assists in education of new employees in the mission and vision of the facility related to chest pain patients and educates them regarding chest pain certification. Works collegially with the Senior Leader for Quality to assure metrics are in place to show continuous improvement in the care of the ACS patient. Works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff and the Cardiac Services Medical Director to ensure the highest level of care for patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines. Works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment. Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Cardiac Services at the facility. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational). Responsible for ensuring that Cardiovascular Services are performing in conjunction with the mission and values of the facility and of HCA, including participation in goals and processes derived from HCA-CCMN initiatives.
