Standard Qualifications: Registered Nurse - RN - Emergency Room - ER Schedule: Seasonal (PRN) Nights Medical City Dallas $55.00 per hour base pay $4,500 Completion Bonus 12-hour schedules, minimum 36 hours/week or 72 hours/pay period The ability to transition to regular status post program ***This limited time program runs through May 2018*** JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse DEPARTMENT: Emergency Services REPORTS TO: Supervisor RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUPERVISION: None JOB SUMMARY: Utilizing the standards set forth for Nursing Practice by the ANA and the RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for Emergency Department patients. It will include individualized, family centered, holistic, supportive, and safe care. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license American Heart Association BLS required ACLS required within one year of hire PALS required within one year of hire Effective 9/1/15 TNCC required within one year Effective 5/1/17, ENPC required within one year CEN and/or CPEN preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong communication skills in both oral and written format. Flexibility to intervene on a moment's notice. Ability to problem-solve, and seek assistance from team members when necessary. SPECIAL DEMANDS: None WORK ENVIRONMENT: Approximately 100% inside work.
