Job Title : Charge Nurse Emergency Room Hospital : North Suburban Medical Center , Free Standing Emergency Department . Located at 12793 Holly St. in Thornton, CO, our free standing emergency room offers high quality emergency care, close to home. Some of our ER highlights include: -Board-certified doctors, specialists and nurses trained in critical care and emergency care -Dedicated trauma/resuscitation room -10 private patient rooms with two rooms devoted to pediatric care -On-site imaging services, including CT, ultrasound, digital X-ray -Full-service laboratory -Telemedicine camera for patient consultations by physician specialist -Helipad to provide additional rapid transport -Affiliated with Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver for outstanding pediatric care Under the general supervision of the unit's director or designee, the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit. The Charge nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in his/her care. The Charge Nurse may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency and is within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at the NSMC/FSED.
