Regional Medical Center is seeking highly skilled Registered Nurses for its 34 bed Adult Intensive Care Unit. Regional's ICU is a fast paced, high acuity environment that is patient and family centered. As a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center we are a receiving hub for patients needing a higher level of care. Our ICU treats patients with blunt and penetrating trauma, ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, patients requiring ECMO-Extracorpeal Membrane Oxygenation- for cardiac or pulmonary diagnoses, CRRT, Balloon Pumps, post open heart and thoracic surgeries and much more You will be surrounded with bright and dedicated individuals who have an unwavering commitment to excellence and a constant spirit of professionalism. Schedule: 0.8 (32 hours per week), Shift: Nights with rotating weekends. Internal Posting Period: 09/14/2017 - 09/21/17 POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates total nursing care for critically ill patients, averaging in age from 57-70 years. Primary patient population served include those admitted for acute/unstable trauma, acute neurological incidents, acute respiratory failure, MI, acute GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, and patients post drug overdose. Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities. Is able to provide mentorship and guidance to new employees. Eligibility Requirements for Full Time positions: $10,000 Sign on Bonus for RN's with at least two years of ICU experience. $ 5,000 Sign on Bonus for RN's with one year of ICU and one year acute care experience.
