Description
Standard Qualifications: The Registered Nurse must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to other areas other than his/her normally assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency The Registered Nurse performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The Registered Nurse displays positive support for NSMC as well as the entire HealthONE organization. The RN cares for Geriatric, Adult and Adolescent patients. The Charge RN or RN designee is responsible for reviewing and signing off all assessment and reassessments performed each shift by the LPN. The Charge Nurse Role incorporates all of the RN position as above, and includes the additional responsibilities of directing shift operations with schedules, assignments, and coordination of resources.
