Standard Qualifications: . Fairview Park Hospital is a leader in healthcare for the City of Dublin, Laurens County, and the surrounding communities. Fairview Park is a state-of-the-art, 190-bed acute care facility providing community healthcare services including a 24-hr Emergency Room, inpatient and outpatient surgery options, and rehabilitation therapy services. In addition, Fairview provides specialty services through facilities such as the Sleep Center at Fairview Park, the Same Day Surgery Center, the Heart Center at Fairview Park, and the Women's Imaging Center. We are searching for a new Director of Med/Surg, responsible for full, 24/7 oversight of our 34-bed Med/Surg unit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides oversight of clinical nursing unit, ensuring patient safety and quality of care delivery. 2. Demonstrates appropriate fiscal responsibility including productivity, appropriate management of supplies and equipment. 3. Fosters and environment of teamwork, pursuit of evidence based practice performance improvement, professional communication, diversity and interdisciplinary/ intradisciplinary collaboration. 4. Engages in problem solving and decision making that reflects data analysis, evaluation of current literature, and needs of stakeholders. 5. Role models professional standards, the M/V/V of Fairview Park Hospital, setting the standard for expected performance for all employees. 6. Establishes effective relationships that fosters trust with team members of all departments/levels. 7. Seeks self-development activities that will enhance performance in role. 8.
