Responsibilities include fiscal, Human Resource and operational functions. The SPD Manager maintains 24-hour accountability for services provided by the SPD department. The manager performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Swedish Medical Center. The Manager displays a positive support for the values and mission at Swedish Medical Center. The SPD Manager is responsible for the overall quality of all functions of the Sterile Processing Department including: each surgical services area instrument - both decontamination and the clean room. This includes quality of decontamination, quality and accuracy of re-setting of all instrument sets for all departments including all procedures trays/instrument sets used in the hospital. The SPD Manager will provide customer service directly to physicians and interface with them to address quality issues with instrument sets.
