Cartersville is seeking a Patient Sitter - Emergency Room to work Part-Time. Position Responsibilities: Must smile and make eye contact. The Behavioral Health Sitter/Tech is responsible for observing Behavioral Health patients who are assigned monitoring levels 2 or 3. Behavioral Health patients may include patients who are extremely confused, at risk of inadvertent self-harm, status post suicidal ideation, at risk for assaultive behavior, elopement or may demonstrate dangerous and unpredictable behavior. The Sitter/Tech will be responsible for monitoring Behavioral Health patients by camera or direct observation based on assigned level of observation. The primary responsibility of observation staff is patient safety with documented checks every 15 minutes. The Behavioral Health Sitter/Tech Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, team-work oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of CMC.
