Standard Qualifications: John Randolph Medical Center, a 147-bed acute care facility, is located in the historic, riverfront city of Hopewell, VA. The new 11,000 square-foot free standing ER is staffed with board-certified emergency room physicians and nurses 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Designed to meet the community's needs, the new center offers: •A separate pediatric entrance and waiting area •Private treatment rooms •CT capabilities •Digital ultrasound •Digital diagnostic & portable X-rays •On-site laboratory •Telemedicine technology with a specific focus on stroke care and behavioral health "TriCities Emergency Center, as part of the HCA network of hospitals, can provide the area residents with increased access to all levels of service SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1 Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures. 2 Performs all general diagnostic radiographic procedures and CT procedures. 3 Observant of patients' conditions. 4 Practices radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy. 5 Understands and operates electronic information systems, PACS, PacsCube, eMar etc. 6 Compiles appropriate records to expedite results. 7 Operates mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment within the department, in the OR environment, and throughout the hospital. 8 Administers contrast media as required. Utilizes power injector as required. 9 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of diagnostic radiology and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT. 10 Participates in collecting QA/PI data as requested. 11 Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner. 12 Various other duties as assigned.
