Standard Qualifications: Come and join our 2018 HCA Nurse Residency Program! Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center has 133-beds and all rooms are private and provide a wide range of in- and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care, obstetrics, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, cardiac catheterization and psychiatric care. Located on a 75-acre campus south of Fredericksburg on Interstate 95, the hospital recently won state approval to build a cancer treatment center. HCA Nurse Residency Program (Medical Surgical) StaRN Program (12 weeks total): The StaRN Program is primarily designed to provide the graduate nurse with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. It will help you transition out of the classroom setting onto the unit by providing you with the following training: 5 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations 7 weeks preceptorship in the Med/Surg Certification achieved: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI After StaRN you will transition to our Professional Development Program : 9 month program factored into your full time position in the Med/Surg Dept Obtain Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills Partnered with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) Your project could get reviewed by corporate for further recognition Additional Information about our Medical Surgical Unit: 20 Bed Med/Surg 12 Bed Ortho Oncology patients, among others, are seen on this unit Cohort Start Dates: February 5th June 25th July 23rd September 24th *Apply Today!
