Standard Qualifications:   POSITION SUMMARY:    The Coordinator of Clinical Applications is responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of the Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiative as well as additional support for clinical applications throughout the facility. This individual participates in the company-wide community for CPOE, changes and works with their facility peers to ensure advanced clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility. Additional responsibilities will include any upgrades and applications as they are implemented.     POPULATION SERVED: Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Medical/surgical diagnoses, malignancies involving all body systems requiring medical/surgical, chemo/radiation therapies including but not limited to: Neuro, GYN/GU, GI, pulmonary, skeletal and hematopoetic systems     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  1) Implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools. 2) Development, execution, and support of education plan, tools and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented. 3) Facilitation and project leadership of the CPOE and advanced clinical system functions implementation.  4) Resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.  5) Evidence Based Order set review, approval, and build within the facility. 6) Ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports. Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan to address areas of concern.  7.) Supports the implementation and maintenance of EHR initiatives.  8.)Assist in the development and deployment of training related to the EHR.  9.)Collaborates with staff, nurses, directors, IT team members, and physicians to assist with process improvement opportunities related to the EHR.  10.)Audits and prepares reports of the electronic health record using tools for data collection and reporting of CPOE, PDOC, and other EHR projects.  11.)Triage, research, and follow-up on escalated issues and concerns related to the EHR.  Performs necessary tasks related E-Sig 12.) Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct    Other Responsibilities:  1) Identify gaps and opportunities in departmental process mapping of current state and the future state workflows  2) Provide system and operations expertise for implementation of process & system changes  3) Provide on-going support and order workflow support  4) Participate in systems training for project team, serve as Super User for Clinicians  5) Provides specialized support for physicians  6) Works with Education Specialist to design and develop base education/training materials in CPOE to support staff training and continued education 7) Actively supports and promotes systems standardization, utilization, and best practices in the area of CPOE and Meaningful use 8) Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission & Value Statement  9) Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned     PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES:    1.
