POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of the Critical Care (Intensive Care Unit, Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry): Directs all department activity to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Coordinates the department's participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Provides leadership and administrative functions. Ensures that Nursing care is based on the Nursing Process and evaluates it's effectiveness on an on-going basis. Responsible for the overall function and direction of Critical Care and Telemetry areas.
