Hospital Rehabilitation at our South Campus Our acute inpatient rehab team offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology at our South Campus. Patients can be referred to any of these services by their physician. Once a physician has ordered the service, a qualified clinician will complete a thorough evaluation of strengths, limitations and rehabilitation potential. We are looking for a Manager of Rehab to join our leadership team! Position Summary: The Rehab Services Manager provides direction and operational support by planning and implementing overall rehabilitation policies, procedures, and services under the leadership of the Director of Rehab Services. Ensures efficient and effective operations for the Inpatient Rehab therapy departments including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy and for the Acute and Outpatient Departments including Physical therapy, sports medicine (if applicable), and Occupational and Speech therapy departments. Coordinates the rehabilitative services provided to patients by all disciplines in the facility. Leads the communication between the rehabilitation department and all other facility departments. Oversees and coordinates case management and other like assessments. Provides departmental management support and supervision to staff as deemed appropriate. Works in conjunction with the Director to ensure appropriate and cost effective staffing levels throughout the rehab continuum. Position Responsibilities: Conducts clinical supervision in assigned field to therapists in training/interns as applicable Manages and oversees all departmental services, including operational efficiency and clinical quality/integrity Manages and oversees all departmental operational functions including staffing, patient scheduling, managing productivity, staff competencies and evaluations and clinical quality Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures, with director guidance/oversight Manages the recruitment/hiring, training/professional development, and objective performance evaluations of clinical employees in the rehab therapy departments in collaboration with Director Directs and organizes regularly scheduled departmental team meetings and team building events in conjunction with the Director of Rehab Services. Builds a successful and productive team of committed, efficient and specialized employees Collaborates effectively with all other hospital departments and acts as rehab representative on the clinical leadership team including the Clinical Rehab Specialist (CRS) team members. Researches and maintains awareness of advances in clinical services and best practice Participates in expansion of clinical services and regions under Director supervision Delegates and effectively oversees projects and initiatives of appropriate departmental leads/therapists with the Director support Participates in Clinical Leadership projects and Initiatives, with Director's guidance and peer support Contributes to development of and executes strategic plan of department directly with Director. Establishes collaborative relationships with other organizations, providers, and/or schools to further common goals of Eastside Medical Center and our communities. May provide direct clinical services, as needed, which may include assessments and therapy. May render direct patient care to support clinical teams with evaluations, re-assessments and therapy treatments within his/her discipline as needed.
