Corpus Christi Medical Center is a 631-bed Health Care System offering a comprehensive scope of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services, including: 24-hour Emergency Services Bariatric Services Behavioral Health Services Cancer Diagnostics & Treatment Cardiovascular Testing & Surgery Diagnostic Imaging/MRI Breast Diagnostic Center Inpatient Rehabilitation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Level I, II, III Maternal and Neonatal Transport Neurosurgical and Neurological Services Orthopedic Services Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Women's Health Center Corpus Christi Medical Center is currently looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab - Full-time The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients experiencing cardiac intervention upon admission to the department. The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in ensuring safe and competent quality patient care. The Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory supports the medical care of all patient requiring any cardiac or peripheral intervention under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the hospital. This individual maintains a complete Intraoperative record and is responsible for the patient during the pre-operative, intra-operative and immediate post operative period. This person ensures a safe environment for the patient and others, appropriately communicates with physicians, co-workers, volunteers, other hospital departments and patient family members. The nurse acts to provides care in a competent, effective and cost effective manner. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delegating nursing tasks based on the needs of the patient and the knowledge and skills of the individual selected to perform such tasks.The cath lab staff nurse shall have overtime flexibility, be able to take call as prescribed and with a thirty minute maximum response time. Must be able to assess own learning needs to enhance personal and professional development. Increases knowledge and skills related to patient care by attending workshops, formal classes, seminars and inservices.
