Standard Qualifications: Social Worker - Intake Assessments and Utilization Review Full Time Ogden Regional Medical Center Sign On Bonus of $5,000 for Full Time and Part Time Help us successfully expand our services in Alcohol Chemical Treatment and Mental Health Services with the addition of our new 12 Bed - ACT Residential Unit and 12 Bed - Inpatient Psych Unit. Position Title: Social Worker - Utilization Review Work Assignment: Alcohol Chemical Treatment (ACT) Outpatient, ACT Residential and Psychiatric Units Position Type(s): Full Time Start Dates: December 18th Position Classification: Hourly - Non Exempt (Eligible for Overtime) you are an employee and get paid for ALL hours worked, there is no such thing as "billable or non billable" hours Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Days) Successful candidate will be able to participate in coverage of weekend (4 hours/day) once a month. Job Summary: The Utilization Reviewer will facilitate the interdisciplinary plan of care with a focus on evaluating the appropriateness of clinical care, medical necessity, admission status, level of care, and resource management. *Reviews a case load of patients for admission appropriateness and continued stay necessity and contacts physician reviewers as needed to review patients with questionable lengths of stay. *Follows up on denials to determine appropriateness of corrective action.
