Standard Qualifications: The Clinical Educator (RN) works with the staff development team/educators in: Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the educational/clinical/mental health learning activities for hospital staff. Collaborates with hospital managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competency gaps within the organization. Develops education programs and training tools that promote a patient-centered and staff-centered culture emphasizing outstanding service and compassion for Dominion and it's people. Uses simulation and other strategies to actively engage learners in demonstration/practice of desired behaviors. Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs/projects. Facilitates a variety of learning experiences using a range of different instructional methods/styles. Assists with clinical orientation and trains employees on facility EHRs/systems/processes. Demonstrates strong knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations in order to meet related training needs. Utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Serves as an active member of committees focused on such areas as safety, quality, education, and staff competency. May perform other duties as assigned.
