Description
Standard Qualifications: RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Line Administration Coordinates and directs the activities of the teams associated with the service line. Develops and monitors compliance with annual operating and personnel budgets for service line. Collaborates with other service line managers to ensure consistency in approach and planning efforts. Communicates effectively with team members and other management staff. Human Resources Management Selects effective program supervisors per established job descriptions and procedures, and provides adequate training for supervisors. Develops strategies to ensure effective staffing levels and cross-train utilization of staff. Completes appropriate Human Resources paperwork within appropriate time frames. Maintains records, contracts, and agreements specific to operations and staff. Maintains records, contracts, and agreements specific to operations and staff associated with the service line. Continuous Quality Improvement/Program Evaluation Develops and supports activities which allow for measurements of quality in all areas of responsibility, assuring corrective action and follow-up as needed. Responds promptly to any issues of concern from all data sources including, but not limited to, patient satisfactions survey, program evaluation data, quality assurance, or expressed concerns from other customers. Actively participates in system-wide efforts relating to continuous quality improvement or other quality-related initiatives. Program Development and Public Relations. Works with service line teams to develop effective programs of care within the continuum formulating plans for growth where opportunities exist. Participates in marketing plan development and implementation. Attends appropriate community, professional, and/or system meetings and conferences to maintain visibility as well as to anticipate opportunities for development. Maintains effective communication with system physicians and center's medical directors. Budget Planning and Monitoring Prepares annual budget for teams within service line configuration working in collaboration with the program supervisors to anticipate needs. Monitors compliance with budget expectations and continuously examines opportunities to enhance fiscal performance. Initiates appropriate responses to alleviate variance in productivity, expense, or revenue performance areas. General Duties Ensures that policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with all appropriate regulatory and accrediting agencies. Complies with all relevant system-wide policies, procedures, and guidelines related to patient care, personnel management, and management performance. Maintains individual continuing education and licensure requirements as appropriate.
