Description
Standard Qualifications: NSICU is an 8-bed neurological specialty intensive care unit. We care for patients after neurosurgical interventions, may neurological diseases and also spinal cord injuries. We are a Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, recognized by the Joint Commission to treat the most complex stroke cases. Because of the complexity of our patients, our nurses must have excellent neurological assessment skills, which they develop through a tailored orientation and ongoing specialty training. We look for nurses that are compassionate, willing to work as a team and are proactive in continuing education. Our nurses are very supportive of each other and always willing to jump in to help a fellow coworker. Our Leadership Team consists of a Clinical Educator, Clinical Coordinator and Critical Care Director.
