Standard Qualifications: EKG (Cardiology) Tech - PT - Days Overland Park Regional Medical Center is one of the premiere medical facilities in Johnson County. The hospital is a licensed 343-bed facility offering acute and outpatient medical care services to the Overland Park community and the surrounding areas since December of 1978. Responsibilities : Under the general direction of the Director of Cardiology , the Cardiology Technician is responsible for assistance in the performance of exercise and pharmacologic stress testing, application; removal and scanning of Holter monitors and performing ECG's. The Cardiology Technician provides appropriate care to all patients from neonatal to geriatric. The Cardiology Technician demonstrates a basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and the cardiac disease process. The Cardiology Technician demonstrates the ability to process, confirm and manage EKG's from the time the EKG is obtained to the time the EKG is confirmed by a cardiologist, performs filing of reports and any other activity assigned by manager to assure the department runs efficiently.
