Standard Qualifications: Ultrasound Technician Full Time Medical City Weatherford is a 103-bed, all private room hospital that includes a network of medical clinics serving Parker County. The dedicated and experienced medical staff represents more than 31 medical specialties. Medical City Weatherford's comprehensive healthcare services encompass inpatient and outpatient care, and medical, surgical and emergency care, to name a few. The hospital has received numerous awards and recognition, including Press Ganey Summit Award, The Joint Commission's Top Performer in Key Quality Measures and The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval. The Ultrasound Tech will provide optimum patient care while performing various Ultrasound exams in the Radiology Department, such as gallbladder, abdominal, testicular, pelvic, and OB sonography. They will successfully perform all Ultrasound exams per department standards. The Ultrasound Tech must be able to correctly identify cross sectional anatomy on all images for the Radiologist, identify all areas of interest and image anatomy in varied patient positions, and be able to do so under difficult patient conditions. Among additional responsibilities of the Ultrasound Tech are recognizing and reporting equipment malfunctions, immediate cleaning of all equipment used after each patient, proper use of all PPE per hospital standards, correctly charging all exams, and immediate submission of exams for viewing by the Radiologist. The Ultrasound Tech will perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology, the Medical Director of Radiology and/or the Shift Supervisor.
