Standard Qualifications: This PRN position requires one day per week; 8 hour shifts either 11a-7p or 7p to 3a. The Registered Nurse (RN) performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse. Performs the primary function of assessing, planning and evaluating the care of all assigned adult patients in the CDU/Admission Unit. Responsible for meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patients - plans and carries out individualized patient care. Daily use of analytical and decision-making skills. Promotes and maintains patient safety standards. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Must smile and maintain eye contact with everyone they come in contact with. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of CMC.
