Standard Qualifications: SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* *1. Treats patients as allowed by licensure under the direction of physician and within own competency level. *2. Ensures that patient, client, insurance and other information is properly collected and maintained according to established policies and procedures. *3. Demonstrates and maintains competence in the specific set of technical cognitive and interpersonal skills which have been defined for this position. **4. Completes hospital and department-specific education and competency requirements to maintain own competency. Completes mandatory education requirements in accordance with facility policies and procedures. *5. Demonstrates effective decision making skills. Participates in development and implementation of effective patient teaching programs. *7. Plans, organizes and executes position responsibilities effectively. *8. Manages budgets and expenses effectively. *9. Works well with others, both within and outside the organization.
