Standard Qualifications: Lake City Medical Center has been providing quality healthcare to Lake City and the surrounding communities for almost 60 years. We are a 67-bed comprehensive facility offering medical and surgical programs including 24-hour emergency care , heart care , orthopedics , cancer care , imaging and rehabilitation services. LCMC is the area's ONLY Accredited Chest Pain Hospital and the only facility to offer interventional cardiology. We are accredited by The Joint Commission and have been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for four consecutive years. POSITION SUMMARY: Provides safe and effective nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Is responsible and accountable for a broad range of services including health promotion, maintenance, prevention of illness and disability, diagnosis and management of common acute and chronic illness, guidance and counseling and advocacy within the larger health care system. Responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to deliver that care. Consults with the physician when appropriate and the client. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage. Meditech software experience preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: 1 - 3 years related experience preferably in occupational health.
