Standard Qualifications: TriStar Parkridge East Hospital - Chattanooga, TN A facility of Parkridge Medical Center, 128-bed Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge provides a full range of medical surgical services such as orthopedics and robotic surgery in addition to the obstetrical programs and women's services for which the hospital is best known. The Birth Place, a department of Parkridge East Hospital, includes a 22-bassinet Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery and beautiful Labor and Delivery suites. The hospital also features a 24-hour Emergency Department and advanced imaging services. Parkridge East is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to work full-time days. Job Summary: The supervisor must be able to: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assure staffing is planned/provided for patient populations served. Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Provides direction to staff members and/or participates as indicated in assessing, planning, and evaluating care in coordination with the health care team across the continuum. Deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients. Plan, direct, and manage nursing staff in the absence of the unit managers to assure quality service. Function as administrative representative in the absence of senior administrative staff.
