Visit the metro areas, then come home to Cartersville.  Cartersville Medical Center is a 119 - bed acute care hospital, Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center and Gold Seal Inpatient Diabetes program accredited by the Joint Commission. The Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at The Women's Center provides mammography services that are gold seal accredited by the American College of Radiology. The Hope Center, a regional, Commission on Cancer approved cancer treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and provides over 4,000 treatments with over 300 new patients per year from a ten county region. id  This is a PRN position working one shift per week; 3p-11p or 11p-7a. Total of four shifts a month of which two should be weekend shifts.  The Registered Nurse (RN) performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse. Performs the primary function of assessing, planning and evaluating the care of all assigned patients, Infant through life span in the Med/Surg Unit. Responsible for meeting the established policies/standards of practice for this facility. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patients - plans and carries out individualized patient care. Daily use of analytical and decision-making skills. Promotes and maintains patient safety standards. Participates in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement. Maintains cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and all other customers. Must smile and make eye contact. Promotes a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of CMC. Responsible for maintaining a functional personal telephone and providing Human Resources and Manager/Director with current telephone number.  Cartersville Medical Center is a 119-bed acute care community hospital and regional cancer center (The Hope Center) located in Cartersville in beautiful Northwest Georgia, just 40 miles north of Atlanta and 60 miles south of Chattanooga, TN. Cartersville Medical Center has received an "A" grade from Leapfrog Hospital Safety. Cartersville Medical Center has also received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines  -Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award with Target: Stroke SM Honor Roll Elite Plus. The award recognizes the hospital's commitment to providing quality evidence-based stroke treatment, according to nationally recognized, research guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
