Job Summary: Provides patient care to the adult /geriatric patient undergoing diagnostic and interventional coronary, peripheral, and electrophysiology studies. Provides direct patient care to adolescents undergoing selected diagnostic and electrophysiology studies. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses and trouble shoots procedure rooms for equipment functioning and readiness. Insures that procedure rooms remain well stocked. Obtains supplies for individual cases and assures all appropriate needs of the patient care team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during the procedure. Assists the physicians during invasive and non-invasive procedures. Cleans, wraps, packages, and transports instruments for re-sterilization. Participates in the admission and transport of patients. Participates in department meetings and performance improvement activities. Follows policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to WFH standards of behavior.
