The Radiology Technician CT performs imaging studies of various parts of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performedPerforms procedures, assesses patients throughout and responds to patient needs as appropriateCompletes appropriate documentation for each study performedPerforms all computer and PACS functionsObserves safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staffDemonstrates knowledge of Universal protocolsUses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing proceduresParticipates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotationsMaintains through knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality proceduresFollows all Radiation dose monitoring guidelines
