Serving with compassion. Position Summary: The Medical Social Worker provides professional level psychosocial assessment and social work services to patients and families. Develops appropriate treatment programs for patients and families to address the emotional aspects of an acute illness. Participate in hospital committees. Provides consultation to staff. Maintains a good working relationship with nursing, medical and other related as required. Reports To: Director of Social Services and under the direction of the Lead of Social Services Supervises: none Medical Social Worker MSW PRN/Varied Social Services
