TriStar Greenview has proven to be a health care leader in the region. POSITION SUMMARY: The Monitor Technician / Unit Secretary responsible for rhythm interpretation. Assists with the clerical functions of the Unit. Fulfills departmental responsibilities according to the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the hospital. Promotes a safe and supportive environment that encourages collegiality. Cares for Pediatrics (1 - 17 years) Adults (18 - 79 years) Elderly (80+ years). The position's tasks and responsibilities include: Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias. Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm following the Telemetry Notification policy. Maintains telemetry supplies. Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems. Performs duties with full understanding of specific factors. Orients and mentors new staff members. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Provides a safe environment for patient, visitor and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards.
