Position: CNA, Full-Time (Day Shift)-Neuro The Certified Nursing Assistant functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegated functions as defined in the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Provides safe, effective nursing care to patients in compliance with the Standards of Care and Standards of Practice and based on the Nursing Process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. Provides care needed as described in department policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining video surveillance and closer observation of patients, sitting /monitoring patients that are high risk for falls and/or risk of injury to self or others.
