Behavioral Health Intake Specialist Intake Specialist duties include but are not limited to: Conducts patient-centered intake screenings. Develops and maintains relationships with outside agencies, assesses potential funding sources for patients and coordinates insurance and private pay billings as needed. Works collaboratively with other community medical facilities/agencies to obtain appropriate authorizations for patient care. Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience. Contributes to a culture of patient-centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment. Communicates and interacts with patients, families and others in a caring, empathetic, courteous, and respectful manner. Ensures patient's safety, dignity and privacy at all times. Fosters teamwork and contributes to the achievement of team goal.
