Standard Qualifications: Women's and Children's Hospital located in Lafayette, Louisiana, is a 110-bed hospital. Beyond our newborn nursery and full range of routine and high-risk obstetrical care, Women's & Children's Hospital has the only Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Acadiana and one of only eight in the state. Women's & Children's Hospital is also home to Acadiana's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the region's only children-dedicated emergency department, the kids ER. Because of the specialized team of medical professionals, advanced equipment and facilities, Women's & Children's Hospital has become a healthcare referral center for other hospitals and healthcare professionals throughout the Acadiana area. The Director of OB & Antenatal will have management responsibility for a 15-bed OB with 3,300 annual births and an 10-bed antenatal units. The incumbent is responsible and accountable for planning, coordinating, and directing activities in these units to assure safe, quality care in a cost-effective manner. The Director is also a clinical resource person who acts as a role model for the staff. He/she determines staff needs and identifies areas for improvement.
