Standard Qualifications: Englewood Community Hospital is located in a relaxed, beachside community, just blocks from the Myakka State Forest Park. Since 1985, the goal of our 100-bed hospital has been to provide our patients with a comprehensive array of healthcare services, employ the latest medical technology and foster our community atmosphere. Englewood Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with a great team and a friendly, congenial atmosphere. The Director of Medical Staff Services administers the medical staff credentialing and reappointment process, and assists the medical staff in supporting the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Directs, plans, organizes, and manages the daily activities of the medial staff office and is responsible for preparation, organization, and follow-up involved in maintaining hospital accreditation with JCAHO as it relates to Medical Staff Services. Responsible for establishing and maintaining continuity in the planning, development, and implementation of standards applicable to the medical staff that relate to credentialing, privileging, bylaws, and rules and regulations. Also functions as a physician relations representative for the hospital, including physician orientation, Doctor's Day planning, and physician referrals. Sets up and trains physicians on the Physician Portal. Publishes and maintains the ER call schedules, roster, and physician search webpage. Collects medical staff fees. Coordinates and provides support for medical staff committee meetings and maintains the minutes.
