This team-oriented unit provides outstanding nursing services to patients with a variety of medical conditions such as pneumonia, diabetes, cancer , bariatric surgery, surgical oncology and renal disease. Nurses provide the primary patient care with assistance from patient care techs and unit clerks . The unit has chemotherapy-trained nurses that provide chemotherapy throughout the campus. Shifts available: various, the unit is a 24-hour, seven day a week department. Position Description: The Position is under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Supervisor of the Nursing Unit. According to hospital policies and procedures, the Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients.
