The Wound Care Registered Nurse performs the primary function of a RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in the Wound Healing Center (WHC). C ommunicates and collaborates closely with physicians, outpatient and inpatient nurses, Wound Care staff and other members of the health care team to provide consistent quality care for patients. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the RN accepts responsibility and accountability for assigned patients as a case manager to plan, implement and evaluate the care for wound care clients.
