Standard Qualifications: Doctor's Hospital is located in Augusta, Georgia, the state's second largest and oldest city, and is home of the annual Masters Golf Tournament. Doctors Hospital is nationally known for our Burn Center, the largest in the U.S. We have also been recognized as a top performing hospital by the Joint Commission, Cancer Center accredited by the American College of Surgeons, Chest Pain Accredited, earned the Joint Commission's certificate of distinction for total hip and total knee replacement and spinal fusion surgery, and we are the only CARF accredited facility in our area. We are a level 3 trauma and emergency center. The Performance Improvement Clinical Specialist is a Registered Nurse who will assist the Emergency Services Director, Manager, Medical Director and Educator in coordinating performance improvement reviews of impacted service lines. This would include, but not be limited to, providing information to emergency services management, emergency department staff, patients/families, EMS community, surveyors, senior leadership and coordinating performance improvement activities as indicated. The ER Performance Improvement Clinical Specialist works with the ER educator to design, plan, and implement formal and informal education programs based on performance improvement outcomes. Demonstrates clinical nursing competency and acts as a clinical resource, functioning as a role model for patient care and assists in staff and community development. This position reports to the Director of Emergency Services. This position may at times be pulled to direct patient care when warranted.
