With 320 beds and a team of more than 500 physicians representing over 35 specialties, we offer a range of inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and specialty services, including: 24-hour emergency room Level III Trauma Center Comprehensive cardiovascular care 30-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Rio Grande Regional Hospital is currently looking for a Patient Care Assistant CNA- Cardiac Telemetry (PCU) Responsibilities: · Perform direct patient care under the direction of the RN /LVNwith emphasis on the needs of the cardiovascular service line. · Report data and changes in patien · t condition for a variety of cardiovascular problems (both medical and surgical patients). · Follow examples of safe patient interaction to complete assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner. · May access general supply storage areas where saline flushes and procedure trays are stored. · The Patient Care Assistant for Telemetry, PCU will receive specialized department specific training and education. · Additional training through general orientation, in-service and continuing education. · An extended orientation may be available for the Patient Care Assistant who has not completed a Patient Care Assistant Course
