Standard Qualifications: Poinciana Medical Center is a four-story, 150,000 square foot hospital with 70 private beds and a six-private bed ICU. Poinciana Medical Center provides a full range of acute care services including emergency services, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. The Emergency Department is approximately 14,500 square feet and consists of 22 private treatment spaces, an EMS entrance and a helicopter pad. Poinciana Medical Center is located at 325 Cypress Parkway in Kissimmee, serving the communities of Osceola and Polk counties. POSITION SUMMARY: Provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to diverse patient populations. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment, and coordinating work with all members of the health care team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensures physician order for procedure is entered accurately in the system. Consults appropriate resources to clarify unfamiliar or questionable orders. Obtains and documents all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure. Prepares and positions patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures. Performs accurately and timely a variety of diagnostic examinations, procedures/studies in accordance with established operating procedures. Obtains high quality images. Reviews quality of images to insure quality standards have been met. Visually observes patients' conditions and/or reactions, and reports abnormal signs to the physician.
