SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERTAINING TO Leadership/Management 1. Conduct/ oversee annual training/development and other in-services for Environmental Services and PBX.  2. Lead all aspects of EVS and PBX departments.  3. Manage and oversee all departmental budgets, financial data and statistics.  4. Develop and implement quality processes for reporting departments and internal users.  5. Establish policies, procedures, and work process standards.  6. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.  7. Encourage staff development and participation in education programs.  8. Act as liaison between reporting departments and both internal and external users.  9. Maintain a customer, safety, and service focus for all reporting departments.  SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERTAINING TO Administrative 1. Monitor Staffing (PLUS) and make adjustments as appropriated.  2. Analyze data from observations and surveys to take appropriate action to train/develop staff and make quality improvements.  3. Access data from external surveys (Gallop, HCAHPS, etc.) and take appropriate action to ensure only the highest quality  4. Be on call for off shifts, weekends, holidays as needed.  5. Ensure all records, and logs pertaining to each department are maintained.  6. Work as liaison between clinical and support staff to expedite bed throughput.
