Anesthesia Tech Job Summary : Under general supervision of the Anesthesia Tech Supervisor, assists the anesthesiologist with routine to complex procedures before, during and after anesthesia procedures to include: Pyxis access for retrieval and return of anesthesia medication trays, and transportation of those trays to the appropriate OR suite. Restocks supplies. Cleans anesthesia equipment and work area. Resolves and troubleshoots clinical problems on anesthesia equipment. Proficient in anesthesia set utilizing M.S.M.A.I.D check off (machine, suction, monitors, airway, IV, drugs). Assist anesthesiologist with preparation of set-ups for adult and pediatric patients to include: adult and pediatric open heart and neurosurgery. Transports patients to and from the ICU, CCU areas and other critical care or patient care areas, under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and/or an anesthesiologist.
