Standard Qualifications:   Clinical Registered Nurse Expert/Program Manager   Neonatal Intensive Care and Newborn Nursery   Full Time   M-F with rotating shifts as needed   Medical City Arlington is a 382-bed full-service hospital located in the heart of the growing South Arlington area. There are well over 1,000 full-time and part-time nurses, therapists, technicians and other healthcare personnel that make up our team. Together we form a team that is focused on high-quality care delivered safely in an environment filled with compassion and service.   Women's Services: Women's Service:  Over 4,300 deliveries each year in the dedicated women's tower. 450-500 NICU Admissions per year Newly renovated 29-bed antepartum and gynecologic surgery unit. Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 24/7 Neonatologists. Fetal Diagnostic Center - OB Emergency Department. Maternal Fetal Medicine Program. Dedicated satellite pharmacy specific to NICU Childbirth Education Classes. Lactation Consultants. Gynecologic Robotic Surgery. NICU beds 28 NBN beds 40 Job Summary and Responsibilities:  Responsible for creating a positive and supportive learning atmosphere for staff development.  Responsible for developing curriculum relevant to improvement of patient care and regulatory standards which uses adult learning principles.  Responsible for coordination of in-service and educational opportunities for staff with a primary focus on NBN/ NICU staff needs. Centricity/QS will also be included in educational scope. Participation in educational activities centered around QI initiatives.  Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests;  Ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department director, physicians and other members of the healthcare team;  Ability to ensure operational efficiency;  Ability to problem solve and make decisions;  Ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers.
