StoneSprings Hospital Center is a 124 bed acute care medical and surgical hospital serves residents in Loudoun County, conveniently located on Route 50. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular and interventional radiology principles, practices and techniques. 2. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of procedures performed on the unit with the ability to assist other staff members and physicians. 3. Demonstrates the ability to identify problems, generate and analyze feasible solutions and choose an optimum course of action. 4. Prepares necessary equipment for all procedures and assists physicians as needed. 5. Responsible for general organization and stocking of the CVIR Lab procedure rooms with necessary supplies. 6. Reports equipment failure and notes any potential safety hazards. 7. Assists Cardiologists and Radiologists in invasive and non-invasive procedures including scrub, circulation duties, and operating physiologic monitoring equipment, and radiologic imaging equipment (within scope of practice). 8. Adheres to the policies and procedures of the organization, department, and regulatory and accrediting agencies in the care of the patient. 9. Wears identification badge so it is visible to patients and others. 10. Performs duties in compliance with patient and general safety practices as described in hospital policies and procedures. 11. Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses to interventions on a consistent basis. 12. Demonstrates skill in the use of patient care equipment. 13. Utilizes ACLS protocols in emergency situations. 14. D emonstrates knowledge of specific disease process, treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient needs, condition, impairment, or disability. 15. Follows aseptic and sterile technique. 16. Participates in monitoring patients' ECG and vital signs and communicates variances to nursing staff and the physician. 17. Provides assigned patients and families with explanation of procedures.
