Clear Lake Regional Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Technician - Medical/Cardiac Unit. Respo nsibilities: 1. Performs patient care functions in compliance with hospital policies and procedures: a. Assists patients with activities of daily living. b. Assists in turning patients every 2 hours. c. Performs peri and foley care as needed. d. Ensures that patients receive a daily bath and linen change. e. Performs foley removal after completion of competency. f. Routinely performs venipunctures for laboratory specimens after completion of competency. g. Assists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. h. Assists in admitting, transferring, and discharging of patients. i. Assists with management and stocking of supplies and equipment. j. Assists in maintaining a clutter free environment for patients. 2. Keeps licensed nurse informed of patient activities/changes in condition. 3. Responds in a customer friendly atmosphere. 4. Consistently performs patient rounds as directed. 5. Answers call lights and refers to licensed nurse, as needed. 6. Responsible for physical appearance of the nursing unit. 7. Consistently demonstrates established Standards of Behaviors for Clear Lake Regional Medical Center Hospital.
