We are looking for highly motivated and passionate leaders who strive to make a positive impact on the health of their community to join the Portsmouth Regional Family.  PORTSMOUTH REGIONAL HOSPITAL  Position Title  Clinical Services Mgr  Behavioral Health  POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Services Manager assists with the provision of the leadership and strategic planning of clinical services and programs offered at PRH/PH, ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility's performance goals and objectives. The Clinical Services Manager administers and evaluates the effectiveness of psychological services to patients, including the study and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Oversees testing and counseling services to patients with psychological disorders. Coordinates overall administration and management of psychiatric therapeutic programs. Provides, directs, supports and guides staff who provides direct therapeutic care to patients. Plans and implements program-specific policies and procedures, and coordinates activities and issues with physicians, allied clinicians and other professionals. JOB RELATIONSHIP The Clinical Services Manager reports administratively and operationally to the BHU Programs Director. JOB FUNCTIONS: - Assists with planning, developing and implementing formal and organized clinical services programs as part of the therapeutic environment - Develops and organizes programs of clinical services based on specialized consumer populations - Implements new clinical techniques and provides direction to staff and facility personnel. - Assists in ensuring programs adhere to standards of care for specific age groups served. - Builds effective team and identifies optimal staffing levels necessary to effectively conduct the business of the department - Creates effective work plans; identifies the appropriate resources and processes, sets priorities; delegates authority and meets deadlines - Effective time management and communication (oral and written) skills - Demonstrated knowledge of clinical and age appropriate behaviors, crisis intervention procedures variety of therapeutic techniquest, trauma informed care, clinical assessment skills, setting appropriate limits with clients to effectively ensure safety/structure - Demonstrated knowledge of key business development concepts, methodology and strategic planning - Demonstrated knowledge and ability around customer service skills - Ability to work as a team player - Tolerance and ability to perform under ambiguity, uncertainty and change - Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality of information - Ability to provide FTE management and adhere to other budgetary goals and guidelines - Demonstrates strategic vision with sound technical skills and analytical ability - Demonstrated ability to generate, integrate and communicate data from statistical reports - Ability to coordinate several ongoing project tasks - Creates an atmosphere in which information flows smoothly between self and others, encourages open expression of ideas and opinions - Conveys information clearly and in a timely manner, prepares concise written reports, makes effective presentations
