Our 135 bed facility is able to provide the most comprehensive care to improve the health of our community, and we have been serving the community for over half a century. We are fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and offer a full-range of diagnostic, therapeutic, emergency and surgical services. The Central Sterile Technician (CST) is responsible for preparing and processing equipment and supplies to be used for patient care throughout the hospital. The position includes accurate record keeping and quality control of the sterilization process. The CST is also responsible for cleaning and disinfecting equipment and supplies that are used throughout the hospital. Included in the position is the ordering of supplies and instruments and pulling of cases. The CST may be required to transport patients at times. They must be able to follow written and oral instructions, establish professional rapport with co-workers, staff and patients, and keep accurate legible records. The CST will demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assume other duties as deemed necessary to promote optimal patient care. This position also takes call as needed for Central Sterile. Certified scrub technician will take call for the operating room if necessary and Central Sterile.
