Standard Qualifications: Memorial Hospital (an HCA facility) is located less than 20 miles from the beaches of Jacksonville. We are the premiere medical facility in the Jacksonville area featuring a Certified Chest Pain Center, Certified Stroke Center as well as a dedicated Heart Center. Memorial Hospital is also a U.S. News and World Report Best Hospital. Position Summary The Monitor Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Essential Duties Maintains ongoing, high-level surveillance of patients' cardiac rhythms and notifies clinicians of any rate/rhythm changes according to clinician/provider orders. Is the gatekeeper for telemetry units and initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge. Serves as a resource for training and troubleshooting to the Central Monitoring area.
