Standard Qualifications: Full-Time Day shift I. Position Summary: Under direction of RN, provides assistance in patient care in accordance to the patient care standards in a comprehensive manner through the use of the nursing process. The PCT performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at NSMC. The PCT may perform as the Telemetry Tech if appropriately trained. The Tele Tech performs clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goal and objectives of North Suburban Medical Center. The Tele Tech monitors and appropriately reports the patient's cardiac rhythm and vital signs as needed. II. Position Requirements: A.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Colorado Certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA). Current AHA BLS certification, B. Education: C. Experience: 1-2 years acute care experience desirable D.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates good organizational skills. Performs procedures safely and accurately within the standards of practice. Displays appropriate judgement and problem solving skills. Communicates positively and professionally with all internal customers. III. Degree of Supervision Required: Under supervision of department director/designee. IV.Orientation Period: Minimum of 2 weeks contingent upon experience. Extensive orientation may be required and will be determined by director
