POSITION SUMMARY : Under supervision from the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Oncology Service Line oversees the Oncology Service Line Management. The Director works collaboratively with unit managers, staff and leadership, physicians and administration in guiding the facilities growth, patient satisfaction, physician's relations, operational improvements and efficiencies, employee satisfaction/engagement and fiscal responsibility for all oncology related operations. SPECIFIC ELEMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Responsible for strategic planning and execution of plans for service line in collaboration with senior leadership; inclusive of development of Service Line Structure Attends Administrative meetings and communicates information to all related parties Serve as liaison between physicians, staff, administration and patients Develops Service Line budgets in collaboration with Administration Compliance with Volume and Expense Targets Coaches employees, managers, and others involved in Oncology Service Line; where appropriate Assists with hiring and disciplinary action Assists Administration with Operational Scorecard initiatives Collaborate with marketing to develop programmatic promotional compaigns including marketing brochures, seminar promotional materials and other items as needed Ensures strong patient experience scores
